After the first one, I was pretty much done with gambling.
Since the mid-2000s the casinos in Fort Wayne, like all of the casinos in the U.S., have been owned by the same company. That company is now called Fort Wayne Gaming.
Fort Wayne Gaming is the owner of the casinos in Fort Wayne, along with gaming in other locations in the state like South Bend, Southfield, and even Miami. The Fort Wayne casinos are all on the same property, which is the “Casino Isle,” which can only be reached by parking a golf cart in the parking area on the property. To get to the casinos, the car has to drive past a gate that opens onto the property.
Like many other casinos in the state, Fort Wayne is a casino within a casino. It’s actually a casino within a casino with the property owner playing both sides by providing both types of gaming at the same location. Fort Wayne also provides live entertainment on the first floor of the Casino Isle and is a popular location for weddings.
The casino is a huge black hole, but it’s actually very easy to navigate. The only real challenge is getting into the parking lot. The gate is located on a narrow path just off of the main road.
The closest Casino Isle is in New Orleans, which is a bit further away.
